It is the sequel of 2010 blockbuster Enthiran (Robot).

The 49-year old actor revealed the first look on his twitter account and captioned it,
“Evil has a new face! #2Point0 #3Diwali2017 #2Point0FLLaunch”

Directed by Shankar, 2.0, the film also stars Rajinikanth and Amy Jackson in lead roles. It is set to hit the screens in Diwali 2017. The film will be released in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.

Actors Kamal Haasan and Shah Rukh Khan have Been invited to the first look launch of superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming Tamil science-fiction drama “2.o” here on Sunday, a source said.


“Invitations have been sent to both Kamal sir and Shah Rukhji, and even arrangements have been made for their hospitality. However, they are yet to confirm their presence, and hence, an official announcement is still pending,” a source from the film’s unit told SANS.

Filmmaker Karan Johar will emcee the event, which will take place at Yash Raj Films studios in the presence of the entire cast of “2.o“, a Rs 350 crore magnum opus being directed by Shankar.

Apart from the first look poster, the lead characters from the film will be unveiled in 3D at the event.
Also starring Akshay Kumar, Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey, and Adil Hussain, the film has music by Oscar-winner A.R. Rahman

The first look of “2.o” will be revealed to the public for the first time and will be live streamed on the Lyca Production YouTube channel and in Lyca mobile app on both Android and iOS platforms.

The 48-year old ‘Baby‘ actor is all set to gain weight for his negative character in Rajinikanth starring ‘Robot 2.0‘. Akshay Kumar will play the lead antagonist in the film for which he’ll add extra Pounds to his body.

Earlier Arnold Schwarzenneger was offered to play this negative role, but due to some reasons, the didn’t work out, and the role finally went to Khiladi Akshay Kumar.

Akshay Kumar To Gain Extra Muscles For Rajinikanth’s ‘Robot 2.0’

According to a leading daily, Akshay Kumar, who already has a fit and Lean body will gain some extra muscles for his negative character in the film. An international dietitian has been hired for Akshay to get-the required physique. The actor will undergo rigorous training from February next year after finishing the Promotions of ‘Airlift‘.

‘Robot 2.0‘ is set to hit the screens in 2017. The first look of the much-anticipated Tamil science-fiction thriller “2.o“, a sequel to 2010 blockbuster “Enthiran,“ will be released on November 20, a source said.

“The makers are planning a grand event on November 20 to unveil the first look of the film. The teaser will be released during Sankranti festival next year,” a source from the film’s unit told SANS.
